Rest

The way the light dances on the walls
When time wraps around me like a blanket
The soothing symphony of silence
Leaves bobbing in the breeze
Sea glass blue and eucalyptus green
Dangling paper cranes, turning on a string
Swish of bath water
Marbled rainbow reflections
Pastel skylines and eyes travel heavenward
Car radio off and the caffeine dialled down
Disengaged core and shoulders melt to the floor
Breathe in, hands to mountain, breath out, hands to heart
Screen brightness down and new slippers on

Less speaking, more listening
Less answers, more mystery
Less resisting, more cradling
Less documenting, more observing

Just unwinding

And being kind

To what I am finding

Just unwinding

And being kind

to who I am finding

myself to be.
